Ian Nankivell
Ian has been a leading member of the executive search profession in Australia since 1984. He was a founder of Fish & Nankivell and became a Principal of Penrhyn International in 1985 and is past Chairman of Penrhyn. Ian is recognised for the many senior assignments he has conducted in the financial services sector, as well as his assignments for many leading Australian manufacturing, professional services, technology, resources, consumer products and retail companies. Through Boardroom Search, Ian has also conducted many searches for non-executive chairmen and directors.
Ian is a graduate in Economics of Monash University, and is a Foundation Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
? Ian worked for Alcoa of Australia as Manager, General Products Group; was employed by the Pratt Group as Chief Executive of companies acquired from Pacific Dunlop and James Hardie, and then moved into the Venture Capital Division of Pratt & Co Financial Services.

Kathy McLean
Kathy's career in executive search started in 2000, and she has been a Principal in Penrhyn International since joining Fish & Nankivell Ogilvie Watson in Melbourne in early 2004. Kathy specialises in the services sector, encompassing a broad range of industries including government, education, welfare, sport and charity. Working for both for-profit and not-for-profit organisations, she has served leading state and national organisations in Australia.
In 2007 she opened an office of Fish & Nankivell Ogilvie Watson in Canberra.
A member of the Institute of Public Administration Australia, Kathy has a BA with Honours in English, a Diploma in Education, a Graduate Diploma in Information Studies, and an MBA from Melbourne Business School.
Prior to her career in search Kathy worked for seven years with the publisher Curriculum Corporation, a company whose board comprises the Chief Executives of the nine State, Territory and Commonwealth departments of education. She was originally a teacher. Kathy is a Director of the Victorian Institute of Sport and in the past was very involved in her professional association, as a member of the Board and chair of the Professional Development and Publishing committees.
In 2009 Kathy was a finalist in the Telstra Businesswoman of the Year Award.

Richard Ogilvie
Richard's career in executive search started in 1984 when he joined PA Consulting Group where he worked for 11 years in Melbourne, London and Singapore. He and Phil Watson established Ogilvie Watson in 1995 and merged their firm with Fish & Nankivell in January 2001. Richard has a multi-industry practice including engineering, energy, resources, utilities, manufacturing and professional services.
After graduating from Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree, Richard joined BHP in Australia as a Marketing Engineer. Then followed stints in HR with Nylex, management consulting with the Energy Consulting Group and Touche Ross and then with PA in executive recruitment where he was Country Manager, Singapore and Manager, Victoria.

Phil Watson
Phil is a graduate of Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in accounting and economics. His professional career commenced with Arthur Andersen where he worked for 10 years in Melbourne and Sydney as a Senior Manager. He then joined a major information technology service provider, Idaps Computer Science, as Divisional General Manager where he significantly increased the performance of the division over three years. His next appointment was to PA Consulting Group as a Principal Consultant working primarily on organisation reviews, business improvement systems and marketing projects. This was followed by six years as Principal Consultant with PA’s executive recruitment team in Melbourne including two years as Manager, Victoria.
In March 1995 he left PA to establish the Executive Recruitment firm of Ogilvie Watson. This firm then merged with Fish & Nankivell in 2001 at which time Phil became a Principal of Penrhyn International. Over his eighteen years in executive recruitment Phil has worked extensively on CEO, general management and non-executive director appointments, working across insurance (general and health), professional services, IT & T, not-for-profit and local and state government.

Marilyn Forde
Marilyn joined Fish & Nankivell Ogilvie Watson in 2009 to build her presence in Executive Search. As a very experienced CEO, Marilyn focuses on helping organisations appoint senior people to roles in membership associations generally and particularly to businesses in education, superannuation, financial planning, treasury, risk management and health.
For five years Marilyn was Chief Executive of The CEO Circle, an invitation-only forum for CEOs, Managing Directors, Partners and business leaders of large enterprises. Under her leadership the organisation grew in Melbourne, Sydney, London and Brisbane. For the previous seven years she ran the Finance and Treasury Association, expanding it as a regional association, and helped form the International Group of Treasury Associations. Marilyn has also had chief executive roles with the Risk Management Institution of Australasia and the Victorian Independent Education Staff Association.
Director roles include Whitehorse Community Health (current), the Finance and Treasury Association, Adult Community and Further Education, Curriculum Corporation, the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Board, Overnewton Anglican Community College, the Australian Teaching Council and Education Impressions. Marilyn was Scheme Co-ordinator of Invest (now NGS Super) and a trustee of the Victorian Independent Schools Superannuation Fund (VISSF).
Marilyn is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Association of Association Executives (AuSAE), an Hon Life Member of the Centre for Strategic Education, an Hon Life Member of the Victorian Association of Teachers in Independent Schools (now VIEU), a former Hon Sec of the International Group of Treasury Associations, and a qualified teacher with degrees in Arts and Education.
Marilyn brings to executive search her own executive experience and the insights she has gained from confidential one-on-one and group discussions with a large number of talented CEOs.
