James Macmillan

James joined Fish & Nankivell in 2020 following a professional career which included 6 years in chartered accounting with EY and more than 25 years in financial services with NAB. During his banking career he developed a passion for making great people decisions, and built and developed teams in Australia, the UK and the USA. Prior to joining Fish & Nankivell, he spent a year with a Sydney-based executive search firm, and then conducted a range of search assignments within his own consulting practice. He now focuses on search assignments across business development, human resources, finance, risk and governance. James builds strong professional relationships based on trust, with clients, sources and candidates, and then delivers client and candidate satisfaction. He holds a BComm from the University of Melbourne, a CA and an MBA from Melbourne Business School. He is also a Fellow of FinSIA. He currently serves on the board of the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club.
