Fish & Nankivell is a founding member of Penrhyn International, a world-wide partnership of independent executive search firms, working together to provide the highest standards of service in international assignments. Member firms are leaders in their national markets, and help their clients meet their international requirements through the partnership.

Penrhyn aims to be a preferred global provider of executive search, giving our clients a performance edge in their international growth.

Penrhyn International was founded in 1979 and today has 20 firms on five continents, with revenues in excess of US$50 million per annum. Penrhyn has a unique place in the executive search industry, in that it is the only firm which can boast three winners of the Gardner Heidrick Award for Outstanding Contribution to the executive search profession.

Each partner firm has an equal share in Penrhyn International, and the organisation is supported by an Executive Director and volunteer office holders and committee convenors, which means that Penrhyn has minimal overheads which impact on our costs and therefore our fees. It is a key differentiator between Fish & Nankivell and other multinational or international firms.

Penrhyn International exists to:

Provide international coverage and a superior service to the clients of partner firms
Provide research support to partner firms in international searches
Provide a forum for the exchange of practices and ideas and for training.

There is an annual meeting of all partners. In addition, there are regional meetings and we have also had meetings of researchers and support staff. Frequent personal contact is important and strong personal relationships underpin Penrhyn’s success.

Fish & Nankivell has played a very active role in Penrhyn and Ian Nankivell is a past chairman, and Kathy McLean is currently on the Board.
